Quality Connection

A photo of women smiling and laughing over coffee.

Do you ever yearn for quality connection with interesting people?

I do. That's why I started the Devon Women's Leadership Network.

We meet for brunch in gorgeous locations, and treat ourselves to time with other interesting women, and chew over leadership themes.

At the last meeting, our discussions were wide ranging:

💜 We considered our leadership journeys, and how sometimes we had encountered unexpected career pivots.

💜 We discussed the importance of belonging and mattering in an organisation, and how this should be and essential part of the culture.

💜 We thought about psychological safety and how this is also key to employee engagement and performance.

💜 We debated why some people walk away from careers or 'quietly quit', and what the causes for this might be. We discussed the ways that differing generations respond to the workplace.

💜 We considered mindset barriers that stop us from progressing, as well as fixed and growth mindset.

But the common link was that we were all seeking meaningful connection. The opportunity to spend quality time with others - the antidote required for today's sometimes relentless and isolated world.

It was great to spend time with you Emily Durbin, Charlotte Salter, Linda Hobbs, Rhianna Greenley, Erin Mcskeane, Rebecca Martyn, Kim Wentworth, Catherine Wensley,

We missed you Jenn Blackstone, Jasmine Peglar, Heather McKenzie and Amanda McGinley-Heath. Hopefully see you next time!

And if you fancy treating yourself to some quality time for YOU, our next events are coming up soon.

Monday 2nd March - Cosy Club, Exeter

Tuesday 3rd March - Ocean View, Plymouth

And thank you to Nash & Co Solicitors LLP for sponsoring the Plymouth events.
