As Headteachers or trust leaders in Devon you already know you’re leading in a time of deep challenge.
Not enough funding.
Increasing complexity in pupil needs and behaviour.
Not enough external support for vulnerable pupils
Fewer support staff
Recruitment getting harder.
And the responsibility for holding it all together?
Is still sitting squarely on your shoulders.
If that sounds familiar, you are not alone.
As an former headteacher and director of education, and as an executive coach and leadership consultant who now helps leaders navigate their challenges in schools and trusts, I fully understand the context.
Which is why I am so excited that Performance, Resilience & Support (PRS) is coming to Devon in 2025-26
It's definitely something I wish I'd had available to me when I was a head struggling with increasing needs and a tightening budget.
PRS is a powerful, proven model that is already supporting more than 90 heads in Oxfordshire (and their programme is now oversubscribed for 2025-2026).
PRS is NOT training.
PRS ’is NOT accountability.
It’s head space to reflect and gain clarity.
It’s a community of support.
It’s a lifeline for your wellbeing.
It’s a confidential, supportive space, away from the pressures of your own school or trust, that will allow you to be authentically and honestly you.
What is included:
🔹 A small group of heads (maximum of 10) who understand the pressure you’re under
🔹 Three in-person retreat-style days at Mill House, in Tiverton
🔹 This first programme to be led by the founder of PRS
🔹 Confidential, expert-facilitated conversations to help you build leadership strength and protect your wellbeing, so that you can lead others well
🔹Practical strategies for leading with emotional intelligence, especially when resources are tight
🔹 Optional 1:1 coaching for tailored support
This is leadership development designed for the REAL world of education.
Previous participants have said:
“It has built my resilience when I was feeling incredibly lost.”
“It has made me a better leader.”
“I would not still be in headship if I had not been part of this group.”
If you’re a Headteacher or Head of School in Devon who wants to excel as a leader, while managing your own wellbeing then PRS is the perfect space for you to achieve your strategic priorities, develop your leadership and secure your resilience next academic year.
