What I'm leaving behind in 2024

As we're already nearly at the end of January, so I thought I would share a few things that I am leaving behind in 2024.

1️⃣ Putting limits on myself

I have noticed that as I push myself more and more outside of my comfort zone, I am becoming less concerned about taking a risk. I am a naturally risk-adverse person, and consequently routinely think twice when a scary but exciting opportunity knocks. However, I am giving myself the permission to push past these barriers and and attempt a f**k it attitude! If I see something that I would like to achieve, I'm going to go for it! After all, it's better to have a go and not be successful rather than living with regrets. (I hope! 😆 ).

🤔 What advice would you give me? How do I get over that fear of messing up?

2️⃣ Staying in my office

I started my business over a year ago and I have been too comfortable in my home study, working on my own or with clients (which I love). Whilst it's a convenient journey to work, I really want to get out in the world and connect with people. My word for the year is ✨ connection✨ and I think I've started off the year well with face to face catch ups and visits to Newtown Primary, Galmpton CE Primary, Plymouth University and the Women in Leadership conference in Bath. I've also had some lovely virtual catch ups with new contacts.

😊 Please reach out for a face to face meet, or a virtual cuppa if you'd like to find out a bit more about what I do.

3️⃣ An unhealthy lifestyle

During 2024, I indulged myself too much with unhealthy snacks and led a mainly sedentary lifestyle. This year I have returned to eating much more healthily. I'm practising intermittent fasting which really works for me. I've also adopted a daily exercise habit, face yoga and regular mindfulness approaches. I'm tracking these new habits in @James Clear's Atoms app - look it up, I really like it. Whilst I know that it's still January, I intend to maintain these habits until they become an automatic part of my lifestyle.

🤔 What new habits are you adopting this year?
